Kahuku Unit - Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park

Most of Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park remains closed due to  volcanic activity. The Kahuku Unit is open five days a week.
Enjoy guided or self-guided hikes, talks and demonstrations. Admission is free. See ongoing events here.

Kahuku Orientation Talk

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10:30 & 1:00; Saturday & Sunday 10:30.
20 to 30 minutes talks will include general overview of the park and volcanic activity update. Topics and subject matter will vary depending on interests and will highlight the natural, cultural, and historic attributes of Kahuku.

During business hours you can take a self-guided hike on many nicely groomed trails.
