Who are we?
Us & Big Island business owners and not-for-profit organizations
What is OnBigIsland.com?
It is a kama'aina & visitor site that introduces the lessor known activities, tours, restaurants, exhibits and more on Big Island.
To create a website that celebrates the passion, vision of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations around the island. To offer them an affordable way them to reach the public.
Kama'aina will benefit by:

Who is OnBigIsland.com?
We are a small group of long-time Big Island residents that believe in giving back to our communities.
What is OnBigIsland.com's Vision?
To bring you an up-to-date information of the many diverse venues, on the Big Island of Hawai'i. There is much going on that many people never discover.
We hope that bringing venues, events, not-for-profit organizations and other information together in this website will create an important resource for Kama'aina and visitors.
This site will be kept as accurate and as up-to-date as possible. Information will only be provided by Hawai'i Island business owners, local not-for-profit organizations and island residents.
We welcome submission of information and corrections to any content.
We have a deep respect and commitment to the culture and the land of Hawai'i. All content on this site will reflect that.
How do I submit my event or request a listing?
How accurate is event info?
We proofread and fact check all of our listings. Mistakes and human error happen. If you notice something that you know is not accurate please contact us!
Note: We recognizes the use of diacritical markings of the (modern) Hawaiian language including the ‘okina [‘] and the kahako [-].
We recognize the importance of using these to preserve the language and culture of Hawai‘i and respectfully uses them whenever possible.
Search engines and website character sets are sometimes not compatible - we do our best.
